The Divider is a book you’ll be hearing a great deal about. While Trump’s name is not on the 2022 midterms ballots, his outsized influence is. No, this is not just another book about Trump. The Washington Post says that Peter Baker and Susan Glasser’s new book, The Divider, is “the most comprehensive and detailed account of the Trump presidency yet published.” It’s no wonder: Peter Baker is the Chief White House Correspondent for the New York Times, and Susan Glasser covered Trump for The New Yorker in her weekly columns. Full of disclosures about frightening plans and fantasies that Trump entertained, The Divider is a great study on the Trump presidency. The revelations and wild stories about his minions, and the authoritarian impulses he exercised, should be carefully considered as this November’s elections approach, and as 2024 closes in.

In conversation with New York Times‘ West Coast cultural correspondent, Adam Nagourney. No stranger to political reporting, he has been on the political trail since 1996. Nagourney covered the 2020 presidential campaign and served eight years as the paper’s Los Angeles Bureau chief. He was appointed chief national political correspondent in 2002, where he covered the 2004 and 2008 presidential election campaigns.

Parking available in the New Roads lot next to the theater as well as street parking.
