We at Writers Bloc love Scandinavian films. If you missed Denmark’s A Royal Affair, you can see it at the upcoming Scandinavian Film Festival LA. The Festival will showcase features, documentaries and shorts over two weekends, January 12 and 13, and January 19 and 20, at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills. Catch films from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and even neighboring Latvia– films that have won prizes and acclaim at international film festivals, or have been chosen simply because they are interesting and noteworthy. Many of the films’ directors, actors and writers will be in attendance, following the screenings of their films.
This is the fourteenth year of the Festival, and it has become the premier venue for a dizzying smorgasbord of Nordic films in southern California. This is a great opportunity to see some wonderful films that might otherwise not come your way.
